You didn't think we were gone for good, did you? Oh you did......that's so sweet. (Points for identifying the reference)
No no, it was never the case that this site or our radio show would be gone for good, but I do feel I should explain the absence. As well as providing content to this website, I, as well as my cohost on the radio show Eric Kravit, devote much of our lives to the Jewish community. Thus, from August 21-August 30, we were up in Wingdale, New York with 122 middle school kids staffing their Jewish youth group camp experience.
Normally, this experience would include sports, spirituality, community, and below average dining, but this particular week had some new and unique parts added to camp. For one, we had Hurricane Irene. While my family and friends evacuated Nassau County, our 122 kids were relegated to the auditorium for a giant sleepover as we took preventative measures to keep the kids safe. Quite the powder keg but the night went surprisingly well. Of course, Irene's wrath wasn't over as she took out the town's power afterwords, leaving the entire camp without power for over a day. Suffice to say, the challenges were great but every single one was met by the staff and kids.
So after a long 9 days, Mr. Kravit and I returned to Long Island tired and weary. We are troopers though, so we took to the internet to catch up on the wrestling shows we missed in preparation for our radio return. Of course, we were doing so completely devoid of our voices, but a sore throat is nothing when you have a show to do!
Still, I think the show was solid all things considered, but you be the judge. As usual, there are two ways to listen below. Enjoy!
