Most of what I'm going to say here isn't new. CM Punk is awesome, he has captivated the wrestling world, and Bill Simmons is one of my favorite sports media people as he is one to truly "get" wrestling. Months ago, he did podcasts with Shawn Michaels and then The Miz, both excellent interviews that I have posted her at this site. Now, it's Punk's turn.
Below is a link to listen to the interview between Punk and Simmons. It's completely out of character and you'll get a real sense as to where his head is at regarding wrestling, this angle, and more. It's quite different than the Punk you see on TV, but it's really good stuff. Simmons always does a great job with these guys and dare I say it, he makes Punk come off as likeable.
